Serial Dilution/Media Preparation/Extra credits

 Serial Dilution video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MCrNjHcfcpY

The serial dilution method is to estimate the concentration (number of colonies, organisms, bacteria, or viruses) of an unknown sample by counting the number of colonies cultured from serial dilutions of the sample, and then back track the measured counts to the unknown concentrationI like this video because it's something that could teach someone at entry level biochemistry. It goes slow enough for you to comprehend what is going on and isn't so long and complex to where if you are confused on a step you don't have to replay the video multiple minutes back. So if anyone was to need a quick video to learn the essential basics of Serial dilution this is a video I would definitely recommend.

LB agar video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQ_mqv7zngk

Luria broth (LB) is a nutrient-rich media commonly used to culture bacteria in the lab. The addition of agar to LB results in the formation of a gel that bacteria can grow on, as they are unable to digest the agar but can gather nutrition from the LB within. This video is basically identical to what we did even though it was condensed to about fourteen minutes. I liked it because I could forsee what would happen next in each step.

These two videos gives great instructions and great detail of what we learned in class it reiterates everything we was taught.
